The American Family Association, a group of misguided folks, hate the word GAY. So much so that they have a filter on their news feed website which changes the word GAY to HOMOSEXUAL (every instance). So here’s what happened.
Tyson Gay who won the 100-meter trials for the Bejijing Olympics got filtered to become, TYSON HOMOSEXUAL. The story read, “Tyson Homosexual clocked in at 9.68 seconds”....(lol). It furthered, “Wearing a royal blue uniform with red and white diagonal stripes accross the front, along with matching shoes...Homosexual dominated the competition.”
The funniest part is that their news stories go to the Associated Press wire and it’s policy states that stories not be rewritten once published, so....they had to stick with their version of events and become the laughingstock of the news world.
