Because she look so much like a hot boy.....lol...tru..I kept seeing Dani around town here in Miami before catching recent episodes of A SHOT AT LOVE. Everytime i would run into her i was like, i could soooo be with that girl...i was just amazed by how beautiful she was. Not the feminine or the masculine but the best of both worlds. Exquisite Beauty u r Dani.....I really wish my favorite Girl the best. It’s really good she didn’t win the show, cause the prize wasn’t too spectacular....(Tila???)

After making it to the final round of an MTV bisexual TV dating show, Fort Lauderdale’s Dani Campbell is being called America’s favorite lesbian. Campbell, a 29-year-old Deerfield Beach firefighter, won over legions of fans with her appearance on “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.” She has garnered the most postings of all the contestants on the show’s website, www.iamonmtv.com. She even has more hits than the show’s protagonist, Tila Tequila. Campbell appeared at New Moon Lounge in Wilton Manors to sign autographs and view the final episode with packed house of enthusiastic fans. She lost. The series aired during prime time and quickly became a pop culture sensation. It centered on Internet starlet/singer Tila Tequila, whose real last name is Nguyen. Tequila, who identifies as bisexual, had to choose a mate from among 16 men and 16 women. Campbell, one of just two butch girls in the cast, surprised many fans by making it to the finals, where she faced off against fresh-faced film student Bobby Banhart. At New Moon, the crowd squealed and cheered during Campbell’s date scenes with Tequila. They roared when Campbell rocked the mic rapping for her would-be girlfriend. They cried when Tequila chose Bobby. “I love Dani,” said Nikki Wiggins, a 25- year-old loan officer from Hollywood. “She’s real, she tells the truth and she’s hot.” Wiggins said that Campbell made a strong impression on her. Before watching the show Wiggins said she never felt attracted to girls who are not “girly.” “Dani opened my mind,”Wiggins said. And while organizers tried to shush the crowd as the episode built to the final moment, the energy in the room could not be quieted. At one point during the show, Campbell jumped up on a cocktail table and shouted, “Bobby sucks” during the segment that showed Banhart and Tequila making out in a hot tub. The crowd immediately took up the chant: “Bobby sucks! Bobby sucks!” The emotions spilled over when in the final moments Campbell was rejected. Nobody in New Moon could believe it. “It can’t end like that,” Pardo shrieked at the television screen. “I’m so pissed.” But for Campbell, watching the final episode was comforting. Due to a confidentiality agreement, she could not tell anybody the outcome from the time the show finished shooting in September. “It’s just a big relief to be able to speak about it,” she said. “At the beginning of the show, I really didn’t care. But then I got to know [Tequila] and soon I started developing feelings.” Campbell’s fans consider her a positive representation for young lesbians, and it’s likely that Campbell will tour college campuses for publicity. But her publicity tour kicked off with a rocky start. Campbell’s appearance at a fund-raiser for the Taravella High School was canceled by Broward County School District officials. Keith Bromery, the district’s spokesman, told the Miami Herald that the reason the event was canceled was not because of Campbell’s sexuality but because of the amount of sex and alcohol featured on the show. Bromery was quoted as saying, “The episode that I saw was a woman in various degrees of undress laying prone on a bar with guys drinking shots out of her belly button.”
